What if I have never practice yoga before? Can I expect to do the poses?
Yes! Wellness Tree will be for beginners and will give many examples to modify if you have limitations in your joints. Classes will be geared toward learning and going at slow pace, so everyone who is new to yoga feels comfortable and can leave feeling empowered and energized by learning the benefits of yoga for their body, mind and soul.
What can I expect from yoga class?
At Wellness Tree, class will always begin with breathing, setting our breath and focus on being present in the moment. Becoming aware of our body and what is going on right then and now on our mat. Then we will go into warming up the spine, stabilizing, and core. Flowing into Sun Salutations and Power Poses at Peak of the class as we warm up our legs and arms and spine. Then we will focus on balance. After balance poses, we will slow back down for stretching and end with long savasana pose- to get the most from your yoga- where you reset your nervous system to relax.
